Dear parents,
Uncle and I have reached Mumbai with great comfort. I am sorry for writing a little late describing to you about our wellbeing here. Since we came here, we were busy viewing different places, shopping, and relishing different foodstuffs.
Sister and jijaji came to receive us at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. We drove home in a cool cab. On our way to home, I saw many short as well as tall buildings. In many places, there are different shops on both sides of the road. Unlike ours, the roads are wide here. Many vehicles travel at the same time. There are many malls in Mumbai where people buy different things from the same roof.
Last Sunday, we went to watch an animated movie in a nearby theatre. Later we had our lunch in a restaurant. We even spent some time shopping in local markets. I have purchased a few clothes, a couple of pairs of sandals and toys.
Last week, we also visited the famous Chinese garden, Hanging garden, Victoria Garden, and Kamla Nehru Park. Chowpatty beach is a very famous spot to relax. We also visited Taraporevala Aquarium and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya. I also had some spicy food from the local stalls. For the first time, I ate Mumbai’s famous Pani Puri and Wada Pay. They were mouth-watering.
Until now, I have noted that people in Mumbai dress very well. They love to be stylish. I saw aged women in tops, shorts, and jeans. Young girls were t-shirts, miniskirts, and short pants. Boys too were not far behind. Some love to have long hair like girls.
Although Mumbai is an eye-catching city, I like to live in our small town with you. I saw that peace of mind is missing among the Mumbaikars. However, it is not a bad experience of staying for a few weeks in India’s capital city. We will return next Sunday.
Give my warm regards to aunty and love to niece Delzin. I miss you all.
Your loving daughter,
Mini
