Report on “The Book Fair”
New Delhi 18 Jan. 2009: The much-awaited Book Fair was organised in the month of January at Pragti Maidan. It lasted for 12 days. The fair was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi Mrs. Shiela Dixit. Various prestigious Indian as well as International publishers participated in the fair. All the publishers came up with their latest editions and publications. Various international publishing houses like “Oxford”, “Macmillan”, Orient Longman” etc. also participated is fair. The variety of books were enormous and book lovers had, had a great treat. Computer and engineering books were in top demand. Though the cost of books were quite high interested readers bought the books of their tastes without giving a second thought. School and college students visited the Bookfair in large numbers and bought books.
