Achamma John Mathai
Achamma John Mathai, 1920- , social worker. Born in Kerala, she was educated at Trivandrum, and graduated from Calcutta University. An eminent social worker, she had been associated with many official and non-official organizations for the welfare of women and children, and was also the president of the Indian Conference on Social Work, 1947. She was awarded Padma Shri in 1955.
