Ovid
Ovid, full name Publius Ovidius Naso (43 BC-17 AD). Roman poet. His love poems (16 BC) made him famous. He also wrote Love-Letters of the Heroines and the witty and immoral Art of Love (1 AD). His Metamorphoses, a collection of verse stories in 15 books, was unfinished when he was exiled in 8 All The reason for his exile is not known. The Metamorphoses were published posthumously, together with his letters from exile.
