Write a letter to the Principal on behalf of your brother/sister, asking for his/her leave of absence for a month due to major illness. Also, ask for the permission to let him/her appear in the final examinations.

Respected Madam,
My younger sister, Anita Agarkar who is a student of your school studying in class IX C, Roll No. 29 will not be able to attain her regular school for a month. Since many days, she has become weak due to constant cold and mild fever. She has been diagnosed with malaria and is instructed by the doctor for complete bed rest at least for three weeks.
She has lost her energy due to fever. It will be impossible for her to appear in the coming examinations. Considering the fact that she was a regular student during the first half of the year, she must be exempted for her absence in the coming examination.
I would also like to request you to permit her to appear in the final examinations in March. Until that time, she will be completely recovered. I hope that you will consider her case compassionately.
The doctor’s certificate along with other medical reports is enclosed for the school’s record.
